This is sad . I can sort of see the, "hey, if you want to get great sound buy it" , but the majority of SBD files here are not from released (and thus not the old non accessable shows) shows, and some will never ever come out . Are you saying the player for everything has been crippled ? Considering the amount of effort the band's sound people, and the tapers, etc. (take a bow Charlie Miller) have made toward audio quality , this seems like a no very "Grateful Dead "sort of thing to do . I wonder what the reason was ?

Not crippled, just toned down a few notches. The flip side here is there is now more stuff to listen to. And, for those who care, Rhino will continue to deliver the highest audio quality GD performances for years to come.
